Made in the south of Spain, this is a fascinating wine showing what can be done in an area known almost exclusively for its sherry made from white grapes. Here the grape varieties are the local Tintilla de Rota (50%) with 35% Syrah, 10% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Made by Vicente Taberner, part of sherry house Fernando de Castillo.
Red berries, figs and an unusual herbal side give this wine real presence.
