Lebanon’s most famous export. The vineyards are located just 15 miles north of Beirut. The vines were bombed during the ‘83 vintage, and in 1988 and 1989 the winemaker had to be smuggled in to make the wine.
Musar is like Marmite in that people either love it or hate it, but it never fails to get people talking, which is part of what wine is all about. It is characterised by a high degree of volatile acidity - hard to describe, but taste it and you’ll understand what we are talking about!
Grapes: A blend of Cinsault, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.
