Thomas Labaille Galifard Sancerre 2019
Located in Chavignol with a wealth of excellent old vines on Sancerres best vineyards, Thomas Labaille Sancerre aims for a riper, 'old style' wine. Grapes are allowed to ripen a little bit longer than is the norm for the region and current owner (Claude-Thomas) uses a combination of concrete, strainless steel and used wood for his wines in order for them to broaden and develop a little before bottling.
Classic Sancerre nose—crisp and citrusy with a streak of minerality. The palate is dry with good concentration and interest, but yet refined and elegant. This is really worth the money.
Grape: Sauvignon Blanc
